Bankroll, Tracking, and Payouts
Deposits, withdrawals, the shared tracker, and exactly how the profit split is calculated.
Your bankroll is the cash you move between sportsbooks to place hedge legs and meet deposit requirements. It sits in your accounts the whole time. Arbitra never logs in to or controls your accounts.
How much do you need?
| Starting bankroll | What it allows |
|---|---|
| $0 (Arbitra funds it) | We send you the deposit money for each play. Profit pays the funding back first. |
| Under $500 | One book at a time. Slower, but it works. |
| $500 to $1,500 | The sweet spot. Two or three offers running at once. |
| $1,500 to $3,000 | Larger deposit-match offers and faster progress. |
| $3,000+ | Everything available, including the biggest matches. |
Only use money you can leave in place
Your bankroll should be money you won't need for rent, bills, or emergencies over the next 90 days. Plays are hedged, but mistakes and stuck funds happen. Never use credit cards, payday loans, or money borrowed from friends to fund your bankroll. If you don't have savings to use, choose Arbitra funding instead.
If Arbitra funds your bankroll
No savings to put in? We can fund it.
- We send the deposit amount to your own bank account (by Interac e-Transfer), and you deposit it into the sportsbook yourself, in your own name.
- You sign a simple written loan agreement before we send any money. It sets out the amount and how it's repaid.
- Every dollar we send is logged in your tracker as funded capital.
- When profit is settled, the funded capital comes back to Arbitra first, and the profit is shared after that.
- If a play loses because of our mistake, you don't owe that funding back.
Deposits
- Deposit only when your manager tells you to, and only the amount on the play card or roadmap.
- Use the same payment method on each book that you plan to withdraw to. Many books require withdrawals to go back to the original method.
- Keep a small buffer in each active book so a hedge leg is never short.
Withdrawals
Money will build up in whichever books win. Every couple of weeks your manager will suggest rebalancing: withdrawing from books with too much and depositing into books that need funding for upcoming plays.
- Withdrawals usually take 1 to 3 business days, sometimes longer on your first one.
- Some books ask for extra verification on your first withdrawal. That's normal.
- Don't withdraw everything from a book you're still using. Your manager will tell you when a book is "done."
The shared tracker
Every client gets a private Google Sheet, shared with view access, that shows:
- Every play: date, books, stakes, and result
- Running balance in each sportsbook
- Total deposited, total withdrawn, and net profit
- Arbitra's share and what's been settled
Check it whenever you like. If a number looks wrong, flag it in Discord. We'd rather fix it the same day.
How the profit split works
Net profit = (current balance across all books + total withdrawn) - total deposited.
Net profit is shared between you and Arbitra at the rate in your Profit Share Agreement (Guide 06), which your manager goes over with you on your onboarding call.
Worked example
You deposit $1,200 total across four books. After working through their welcome offers, you've withdrawn $900 and have $1,100 still sitting in the books. Net profit = $1,100 + $900 - $1,200 = $800, which is then shared at your agreed rate. If Arbitra had funded the $1,200, that comes back to us first, and the $800 profit is shared the same way.
Key points:
- We only share in profit. If a play loses money because of a pricing error on our side, that loss comes out of profit before any split.
- Settlement happens every two weeks or when you finish your roadmap, whichever comes first. Your manager sends a summary, and you send our share by Interac e-Transfer.
- Taxes are your responsibility. Keep the tracker and your sportsbook statements. In Canada, recreational gambling winnings generally aren't taxable, but ask a tax professional about your situation.
Finishing up
When every welcome offer on your roadmap is done, you choose whether to keep going with ongoing promos at a lighter pace, or to wrap up. We'll do a final settlement, and you can withdraw everything that's left.
